Soil and Plant Diagnostic Services

Submit digital photos online for identification and diagnosis

Distance diagnostics

The ability to identify problems from digital images avoids many of the problems associated with sending samples by mail, including submission of wrong plant parts, delay in turn-around-time and sample deterioration.

Viewing of high quality digital images by an experienced diagnostician can lead directly to a diagnosis. More importantly, a series of images can enhance the diagnostician's perception of the problem as a supplement to the text-based information supplied on identification forms.

While not all plant problems can be diagnosed with certainty from digital images, the images can be used to guide the on-site contact on which plant parts to sample, what additional information to collect from the grower, and whether or not soil and tissue samples for nutrient analysis are needed

The Plant Diagnostic Clinic identifies and provides management solutions for insects, plant diseases and weeds. And now it can be done online.
